DAY 1: ARRIVAL – NAIROBI – SAGANA
Arrival of flight in NAIROBI. Met by AFRICAN THRILLS representative outside customs and immigration hall. Receive briefing from our driver guide and start your journey to Mt. Kenya for fishing expedition in the cool many rivers flowing from the mountain.
Arrive in Mt. Kenya and stay at the Rutundu Cabins. Rutundu is situated on the northern slopes of Mt. Kenya at 10,200 feet, just above the forest line. These log cabins overlook Lake Rutundu in total privacy, surrounded by alpine vegetation.
Lake Rutundu and Lake Alice, both a scenic hike from the cabins, are stocked with rainbow trout, averaging 2-3 pounds, with the larger fish weighing 6 pounds. Not many people can say they’ve caught a trout within 5 km of the equator! There are three casting platforms and a boat/punt, as well as plenty of keen and experienced hands to help you.
Rutundu’s two cozy log cabins, each with open fires and two en-suite bedrooms are ideal for small groups. The wonderful staff will take care of your every need. Full board and overnight at the Cabins.
Since Mt. Kenya can be very cold, you can also fish in the Aberdares which is next to the Mt. Kenya. Dinner and overnight in the Rutundu Cabins.

Sagana River Camp

Kids will love the adventure of sleeping either in a cottage that sleeps four people or in basic two-man tents. Meals often are barbecues on the large greens next to the river which are great for groups of friends and families and offer ample space for playing volleyball or football, should you still have the energy after your day on the River.
Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the Sagana River Camp.
